Student 7

Ho Chi Minh city is very nice.  It is very dynamic.  I think Ho Chi Minh City looks like California, because it has a lot of people, and a lot of people come to Ho Chi Minh city from Japan, England, Germany, and Korea.  And these people have many stores, and nail shops, and noodle restaurants--the same as California.  Ho Chi Minh City is multi-ethnic.

In the morning, Ho Chi Minh City is very noisy because there is a lot of traffic.  Everywhere you look the streets are packed with traffic.  If you are new to Ho Chi Minh City, you will feel very bad because of all the traffic jams, bad smells, and robberies.  But if you live in Ho Chi Minh City for a long time, I'm sure you will grow to love it.

You should buy everything at a supermarket because the staff there can speak a little English and it is very cheap.  By contrast, Ben Thanh Market and Tan Dinh Market can be very expensive.

I think most Vietnamese students like life in Vietnam, but some of them don't like it.  The schools in Vietnam are small and nice, the teachers are friendly and good hearted, and I love them.  The schools in Vietnam are not modern like American schools, and they don't have high technology.  If you want something hi-tech, you can study at RMIT University or Asia International High School, or Vietnam-Australia School, but the school fees will be very expensive.
If you have a part time job, like at a store, or shop or supermarket, then you can go to school in your free time.  You will have to do your homework every day because you will have a lot of homework from one lesson in just one day of class.

In Vietnam, some people work very hard and have a high salary.  For example: teachers who teach English, pilots, bank staff, and accountants at big companies.  I think working in Vietnam is exciting.  The Vietnamese companies are usually small and family-sized.  60% of Vietnamese companies are small.
The American companies are very big corporations, and have a lot of subsidiaries.
If you want to have fun, you can go to the theatre and karaoke, read books, study language, and go to Bui Vien street to drink beer with foreigners.

I usually study English and practice and exercise at Bui Vien street.  It's very fun and cheaper than most other places.
You can wander around in district 1, but you should be careful because there are robberies everywhere.

Thanks for reading.
